A living map for relational work
The Threefold Hearth Practitioner Training equips professionals with the theoretical foundations, the practical skills, and the embodied presence required to facilitate the Fire, Hearth, and Horizon framework with individuals, couples, and families. It teaches you to hold emotional activation as it arises, to create genuine containment around it, and to help the people you work with reconnect to purpose and meaning once the intensity has settled. What the training offers extends well beyond a body of course material, since practitioners consistently find that it becomes part of their presence and reshapes their understanding of how people heal.
Who the training is for
Prior training in any specific modality is welcome and never required, since the Threefold Hearth adapts naturally to the skills you already hold.

Through a blend of theory, experiential practice, and supervised facilitation, you will learn to:

- Support clients in speaking about their emotional fire while remaining grounded
- Create, maintain, and repair the Hearth as a relational container
- Use mirroring, pacing, and presence to steady difficult moments
- Help partners witness one another with openness and care
- Guide couples and families through the full Threefold Hearth process
- Work with the Horizon, encompassing values, vision, and shared meaning
- Recognise when the Hearth is unsafe to use, and respond well
- Hold ethical clarity, sound boundaries, and trauma-informed practice
By the close of the programme you will find yourself able to guide emotional conversations that might once have overwhelmed a session, and to do so with a confidence that the people in your care will feel.
The seven modules
Each module pairs conceptual teaching with embodied skill training, so that understanding and capability develop together.
01. Foundations of the Threefold Hearth
Understand each layer of the model both conceptually and practically, learn to distinguish fire expressions from adult expressions, and trace the philosophical and ecological roots from which the work grows.
02. Working with the Fire
Identify emotional activation as it arises in the room, coach clients to speak about their fire while remaining within the window of tolerance, and steady intensity before relational dialogue begins.
03. Facilitating the Hearth
Create, hold, and repair the relational container through mirroring, pacing, and presence, guiding turn-taking and witnessing with a combination of warmth and clear boundaries.
04. The Horizon: Values, Dreams, and Direction
Lead shared-vision conversations, facilitate values mapping, and anchor emotional work within a long-term sense of purpose and shared meaning.
05. Applied Facilitation Practice
Integrate the model through supervised roleplay, live facilitation, and case formulation, adapting it for couples, families, siblings, and co-parents.
06. Ethics, Boundaries, and Limitations
Recognise when the Hearth is unsafe to use, work with trauma responsibly, hold a clear scope of practice, and know when to pause, refer, or redirect.
07. Certification Pathway
Complete supervised practice, demonstrate a full Hearth facilitation, and meet the competency and ethics requirements for certification.

Why train in this model
Practitioners describe the Threefold Hearth as simple, intuitive, and notably effective in the room, straightforward to integrate into an existing therapeutic or coaching style, and quietly transformative for their own relational presence. The model draws on both ancient wisdom and contemporary relational science, and it offers a dependable means of helping clients feel safe, understood, and connected even at moments of considerable intensity. Training also brings you into a community of practitioners who share a regard for relational depth, emotional integrity, and the cultivation of meaning.
If you already practise a relational or therapeutic modality, the Threefold Hearth will feel familiar in spirit and fresh in form. It is co-relational and spatial, offering a shared map that couples and families can use themselves between sessions, which gives your work a container that continues to hold once the client has left the room. It brings emotional truth, relational safety, and shared direction into a single structure, so that the people you support always know which part of their relationship they are tending. The framework is designed to integrate with the skills you already hold and to deepen them, adding range and steadiness to work you already do well.
